Wrangler Building roof renovation
An iconic piece of the downtown Cheyenne skyline, the Wrangler building was built in 1892 with commercial stores on its ground floor, and offices and hotel rooms on the upper floors.
From 1898 to the very early 1940s, the building was home to the Normandie Hotel, able to host 150 guests at advertised rates of $2 to $2.50 each day.
In 1943, the building established itself as the home of The Wrangler retail store, where they’ve been selling boots, hats, western wear and work clothes to locals and tourists alike for 77 years… and counting!
Given the building’s rich history and purpose to the western community, Inman Roofing was honored to earn the opportunity to redo its roof in 2020.
Though we would have liked to remove the old roof and install a new single-ply membrane, we felt that—due to the age of the structure and unknown conditions of the roof—it was our best option to apply Gaco silicone S4200 instead. (This method also carries a 50-year material warranty and 10-year watertight warranty.)
As proud members of the Cheyenne community, our team looks forward to enjoying the sight of the historic Wrangler—and its renovated roof—for many years to come.
